Republicans Causing Uncertainty

Posted By on July 25, 2011

I must admit that I did laugh at first at the Kayak.com commercial but then when I saw it again, I got angry. It seems to me that the morons in the commercial are exactly who the Republican leadership has become. They know the right things to do to fix the economy. They are correct in saying that social programs need to be run more efficiently by cutting waste, fraud and abuse. They are insane by professing the ideology that revenues, yes, taxes, need not be raised.

Every economic authority has said that the only way out is through a balanced approach of both cuts and revenue raising. Now let’s talk about the revenue The President wants to raise. He wants to go back to the tax levels prior to the Bush taxcuts on those making $250,00 and more.

WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A FRICKIN 3% INCREASE, PEOPLE. THAT IS ONE LESS SHOPPING TRIP IN A YEAR TO THE RICHEST 1% OF PEOPLE WHO NOW CONTROL OVER 10% OF THE WEALTH IN THIS NATION.

You mean to tell me that Multi-billion corporations are not  creating  jobs here because of 3%? If 3% is stopping them from being good corporate citizens or hiring, they should not be in business. It is the government that provides the security for these corporations and individuals. It is the government that provides the infrastructure so that they can move themselves and products around. It is the government that makes sure food is safer to eat. It is the government that shows up whenever there is a disaster. It is the government that has enabled them to live as large as they do. The richest 1% needs to pay their part of the bill to run a great country and 3% would be a great down payment.

Is it really a 3% tax increase that has the “job creators” nervous and “uncertain”? Let’s be serious for a moment. During the Bush years we saw a mass exodus of  jobs to overseas locations where the “job creators” do not need to pay a living wage nor provide benefits. A net of 3 million jobs were created when the tax cuts were enacted. During the period when the “job creators” were actually paying closer to their fair share of taxes at the 3% higher rate, 22 million jobs were created. You do the math.

Are to believe the morons who say that 3% is what is causing “uncertainty” stopping the “job creators”  from hiring? Are we to continue subsidizing the lifestyles of a select few at the expense of education, on the back of our seniors and less fortunate of us in the hopes that they will create jobs? Are we to allow 3% from the top brackets to starve our federal government?

Let’s be clear about the cuts these morons want and how they want to do them. With every cut, someone somewhere is losing a job. With every cut is a tax hike or cut at the state level causing school closings, teacher, firefighter and police firings. With every cut the way the morons want to do it hundreds and thousands of us have a harder way to go. If the federal government just cuts without increasing revenue, taxes, the next time there is a disaster in this country, no one will show up. What then? This country won’t even be able to take care of it’s own. Hello 3rd world status!

The American worker was once the envy of the world. Only in America could a family work for someone else and have the benefits and privileges only dreamed about elsewhere. The previous generation of  “job creators” understood that if the lifestyle of a robust middle class was the envy of the world, that the entire country would be the envy of the world. It appears that their silver spooned offspring forgot that principle. FOR GOD’S SAKE, HOW MUCH IS ENOUGH?

I submit to you that what is creating “uncertainty” is if this country’s rebound from a huge economic crisis will be held hostage by an uneducated fringe of morons. “Job creators” need to be patriots and bring back the middle class because if the American Dream becomes a reality again, this country can be great once more and lead by example rather than war. These morons have obstructed this administration and Congress, all in the quest to see the black guy in the White House fail. Obstruction after obstruction; what have they actually done to help solve any of the problems we are facing. What have these morons done other than say no to everything; even ideas they know in their hearts will work and that they once supported. Ask yourself, what has the Republican party done for me lately. I will tell you in a future post EXACTLY what they have given us.

ANYONE WHO COLLECTS A PAYCHECK AND VOTES THESE REPUBLICAN AND TEA BAGGER MORONS BACK INTO OFFICE, IS HIMSELF A MORON. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU!!! GET IT YET?!!

Hot Mic, Priceless

Posted By on July 25, 2011

No Mrs. Palin, it is not the “lamestream media” using gotcha soundbites. This is an honest reaction by some reporters caught on an open of “hot” mic. I have often had the same reaction to Mrs. Palin’s gems of non fact. When will the real Republicans take back their party. I said before. America needs real Republicans who are interested in the well being of the country. Please replace the petulant children that you have elected to the highest positions in government with real and thoughtful adults who don’t care who the president is and just want the country [...] Continue Reading…

Too Big To Fail?

Posted By on July 25, 2011

Most of the presidents critics say “well, why didn’t he do it this way?” or “why did he do that?” and then proceed to label him with the talking point of the day. This nation elected a man, not the son of Jor El as he so famously quipped at the annual Al Smith charity banquet in 2008. He is not Superman. He has had more of an up hill battle since his inauguration than any president in recent memory. He can not do everything all alone. You can count his staunch allies in his own party on 2 [...] Continue Reading…

The Fake Militia Movement

Posted By on July 25, 2011

I have chosen to continue to call the tea party people tea-baggers because they are phony. This so called grass roots movement, which the media has blessed with so much coverage of late, is sowing the seeds of violence. They want reasonable people to believe that their call to go out and get arms and train to become a state sponsored militia is to protect the sovereign rights of their respective states.

The section 2 of article II  of the Constitution states, “The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and [...] Continue Reading…

Attack Of The Corporations – The Formula

Posted By on July 25, 2011

The Supreme Court was supposed to be the last fail-safe protector of the citizenry. This is the Judicial Branch that was to be the last check upon the Legislative and Executive branches of the government to prevent over – reaching by those who would use their positions in these branches to put forward personal agendas which have nothing to do with safe guarding the people. It seems that this branch itself has also been invaded by corporate agendas.

The last protector of the citizenry voted to allow the new gangsters, which are what the modern corporations have become, to be [...] Continue Reading…

Thank you Dr. Paul

Posted By on July 25, 2011

I would like to extend my personal thanks for clearing up the mystery behind the euphemism, “Conservative.”

With his decisive trouncing of Trey Grayson, Mitch McConnell’s endorsee, he has proven that good ole Mitch has absolutely no juice in his home state of Kentucky. This also proves that when McConnell uses the phrase, the American People, he is speaking for a minority so small that any objections he makes to anything, he cannot be taken seriously; which I don’t believe any thinking American did any way. He has single handedly indicted the “just say no” policy of his Senate [...] Continue Reading…

Call It By Name

Posted By on July 25, 2011

The mood in the country has gone from bad to worse. Just when you think the country has truly evolved, by electing a black man to the presidency and by finally overcoming the big insurance lobby to get a start on reforming health care for all Americans, the dark side of democracy which perpetuated slavery for over 100 years comes back to rear its ugly head in the shape of a tea bag.

I refuse to dignify the tea baggers with the distinction of calling their cause a movement. A gang of rednecks who can’t stomach a black man in [...] Continue Reading…

The Real Republicans

Posted By on July 25, 2011

I knew that Real Republicans were not represented by those that dominate the air waves. People of good conscience and common sense DO make up the real majority of the GOP. These are the people who would have a civilized discourse with the Democratic party without resorting to lies, fear-mongering, name calling, and out right threats. This was the GOP whom I have supported on many occasions throughout the years. They spoke more to issues I was concerned about louder than the Democrats and my vote reflected this. I don’t appreciate  the blatant disrespect for my intelligence by the [...] Continue Reading…

The American Wage Earner Under Attack

Posted By on July 25, 2011

The American wage earner is under attack! If you get a paycheck instead of signing them, I am talking to you. You may say I don’t belong to a union. What have they done for me? Have some education.

If you have been following the news lately then you must have heard about what is going on in Wisconsin. The newly elected governor, Scott Walker is firing the first shot at destroying the American organized labor movement. We all have the labor movement to thank for the following to name just a few: 40 hour work weeks, the concept of [...] Continue Reading…
