Well Mr. President, haven’t you had an eventful 4 years in office.

I can appreciate the unfairly and seemingly impossible heights of achievement the first black President of the United States is expected to meet. You have suffered through indignities that no white president has ever had to endure and have done so with grace, intelligence and a little bit of gangsta where required. You have been called a communist, a socialist, un-american, an Arab spy, they talked about you like a dog to use your words. You have proven that you can take all of that abuse and still offer your enemies the opportunity to be statesmen even when they do their damnedest to be the narrow minded bigots that they really are at their core.

Enough of this talk about race except for the following missive to my beloved left. The next time you complain about this man not fighting for the Progressive agenda remember who this man is. You would like to think that this country is “post-racial” since his election. Got news for you, just the opposite has happened as most thinkers feared. The ugly under-belly of bigotry seeks to destroy the President of the United States, they say, because of his policies. Policies that economists have proven are the way out of the abyss that the last white guy left this country in. Yes they seek to destroy him and make him a 1 term President because he is a Democrat but mostly because he is the black guy in the White House. That’s right I said it!

They can euphemize all they want with their polite code words but they barely stop short of calling him a N*gger. Hell, some already call him that after they make sure a mic is not around. To all my fellow Americans who are suffering the malaise of politicians getting elected, only to spend their legislative terms getting re-elected and or campaigning, if you don’t beef about it then shut the front door! You sit back and allow this sh*t to happen and even turned your backs on President Hope and Change because he did not walk on water. The President should do this, he should take the lead on that. I can’t recall a white democratic president who ever had as many demands placed on his shoulders and his alone. Is he not supposed to have the clout of the entire Democratic party behind him? Their silence is deafening, to abuse the cliche.

Next time you complain that he sold us out. Next time you are silent as he is getting beat up. Next time you bitch about your circumstances, watch the video below and remember what he had to deal with and what he amazingly has gotten accomplished along with the best damn Speaker of the House in decades. The next time you feel tired of defending your President against his domestic enemies remember what he has done on your ungrateful behalf.

The American wage earner is under attack! If you get a paycheck instead of signing them, I am talking to you. You may say I don’t belong to a union. What have they done for me? Have some education.

If you have been following the news lately then you must have heard about what is going on in Wisconsin. The newly elected governor, Scott Walker is firing the first shot at destroying the American organized labor movement. We all have the labor movement to thank for the following to name just a few: 40 hour work weeks, the concept of the weekend, restrictions on child-labor, protections against discrimination and unlawful termination, overtime, sick days and so much more. If the Wisconsin governor is successful in passing his union busting agenda, kiss all of these things goodbye and say hello to the sweat shop. Slaving away at a job for up to 60 hours a week, unsafe working conditions, no benefits, no raises, child labor, Say hello to the third world hell hole that will become our beloved Republic. In case you have forgotten, here is a brief lesson about what we owe those who have died to give us a civilized work place and a shot at the Dream:



I can remember that the history of unions and the labor movement in general were once required learning in our schools. We were taught Civics where we were learned how our government is supposed to work and how to actively participate in it. So how does big business keep the masses in the dark? Attack the teachers. Re-write the textbooks and make sure all those inconvenient details are left out to keep us all apathetic and asleep while they lie and steal from us, the ones who have made them rich in the first place.

Brothers and sisters, this attack is coordinated and well planned and it is spreading across the country because we were so angry at the Democratic party that we allowed the tools of big business, today’s Republican party, to continue the lies. We allowed Fox news, the propaganda wing of the big business to get into our heads and make us believe they are right. True enough the Democrats have been a disappointment. They have allowed the GOP to gut the very protections and rights we hold dear and THEY WILL NOT STOP.



I applaud the Wisconsin 14. 14 Democrat state senators who have fled their state to try to slow down governor Walker’s agenda. If we do not wake up and support their efforts; if we as a people do not make some noise to stop this spreading cancer; if we do not support those who would defend our rights, then we deserve what scraps are left of our once great nation. The middle class has been decimated and the Dream will be but a memory our grandparents told us about. We will have forfeited our birthright.

IGOTBEEF.COM thanks all of our readers and commenters. We are pleased to announce the addition of our own forum where you may interact with beef1 and each other to voice your own beefs and get at me on a more personal level.

Though this site was built around politics to keep beef1 and Ken’s heads from exploding, we have decided to make the site open to more and varied topics of beefdom. This will be a free wheeling forum with no censorship of value adding content but spammers will be banned for life. The forum will be a do follow site as a thank you for registering.

As I pray daily, at every opportunity, for the country which bore me, I can no longer suppress my urge to address the fake moral equivalence that the Republican “leadership” is claiming regarding their refusal to condemn the cancerous rhetoric spewed by their minions. Is it not enough that due to this rhetoric, lives were lost? This from the group of people who claim to love America more than Democrats. This from a group who claim the US Constitution as their exclusive document. How dare they soil our Constitution with their pathetic excuse of moral equivalence?

“I reject that the incident in Tuscon had anything to do with anything political”, “The liberals did it to Bush” is what they say. Excuse me, I don’t recall the spewage of hate and lies that this group has shown toward everyone who is not straight, white and “christian” coming anywhere near George W Bush. I don’t recall anyone showing up at appearances with guns. And even if they did, does that make what they are condoning with their silence and indifference right? Aren’t they supposed to be the better alternative? Isn’t that why you voted them in and gave them a “mandate” to twist the knife in the gut of our country?

Once again, the Republican “leadership” has shown you, the people, who they are. And how will you respond at the polls my straight, white and christian brothers and sisters? You will never let me down will you? You will once again listen to the lizard part of your brain who is so afraid of everyone and everything that is not like you that you will likely hand them control of the Senate and White House too. Because the black guy in the Oval Office has got to go. He has got to fail if we are to get our country back. Because those who work for a living do not matter as much as the greedy millionaires, billionaires and corporations that these sad excuses for American leadership perform fellatio on while we the people get raped.

So, again, I ask Are You Satisfied? To say that this country is becoming a “third world hell hole” is an insult to “third world hell holes” around the planet. The ones who have led us on this path to oblivion, have played on the basest and worst of your fears and you fell for it yet again. You elected people who not only do not care about you and your issues but are doing everything they can to dismantle protections that were the backbone of “the great society” we once were. They have decimated the middle class, who are really the engine that made America great and respected world over. Our children cannot compete head to head with 30 other countries. 30? They have you believing that trampling on our beloved Constitution, Bill of Rights, and Declaration of Independence is patriotic. That you are supposed to show up at the appearances of any elected official with whom you disagree, with guns. With Guns? They will have you believe that our republic, after enduring and persevering through so much; the country that guards and cherishes freedom; the country that has never been conquered by any armed force, does not work as designed and that what is required is not internal debate but eternal bloodshed.

How many more must die because of these fear merchants we allow to pollute our midst. How long will you perpetuate the American stereotype known outside of this country? The classless, boorish, ignorant American cowboy who would sell his mother for a buck? Unless you have accepted that this is who you are, inundate your representatives messaging, who engage in this hate speech, which falls on the ears of the psychotic, with your screams of “NO MORE, NOT IN MY COUNTRY”!!. Boycott their celebrities, Stop listening to these people who mean you no good. Ask yourself, the next time you whack off to visions of bullseye Sarah Palin, give head to Limbaugh, Beck and O’Reilly, sit in the mindless indoctrination camp that is Fox News, the next time your elected representative spews garbage that you know in your heart is a lie, the next time you sit, stewing, in stupidity, fear and hatred, just ask yourself, “what have they ever really done for me but take my money?” You will not need to look far to find absolutely nothing but the empty pockets you have and the empty shell that was once your country, your America. YOU ALLOWED THIS!!

Your job has been sent overseas. You have been thrown out of the home you grew up or are raising your family in. You have not worked in more than a year. You and yours have no more unemployment benefits. You and yours have no access to a doctor. Your child is fighting in the longest wars, based on lies, in American history. You have buried your child as a victim of those wars. Your social security is about to become privatized to profit some corporation. Your retirement has become a myth that your dad told you about as he enjoyed his. You are eating pet food because you can’t afford people food. Your babies are cold. Your babies look to you for answers and you have none. AND YOU ACCEPT THIS SH*T!!! YOU SQUANDER YOUR SACRED VOTE FOR THIS?!!! TO PUT THESE ASSHOLES BACK IN POWER? We have become a nation of suckers with the attention span of gnats. My apologies to gnats everywhere.

You are being herded about by an Australian robber-baron, Rupert Murdoch, who cares nothing about this country or you. His minions preach division and play to your ignorance and fear. You are being played as this Australian anti-christ and his demons laugh all the way to the bank, as we kill each other and hate each other and destroy the greatness that once was American Exceptional-ism. I personally like Australia as a country and do not cast aspersions on her or her people, but this MOFO. I’m just sayin.

I have seen the enemy and he is us! The Supreme Court was supposed to be the last fail-safe protector of the citizenry. This is the Judicial Branch that was to be the last check upon the Legislative and Executive branches of the government to prevent over – reaching by those who would use their positions in these branches to put forward personal agendas which have nothing to do with safe guarding the people. It seems that this branch itself has also been invaded by corporate agendas.

The last protector of the citizenry voted to allow the new gangsters, which are what the modern corporations have become, to be treated as a regular voting citizen. Through pseudo-grass-roots, otherwise known as Astroturf organizations, they are allowed to contribute as much money as they like to a candidate who favors them or run advertisements that support their bottom lines in the names of “The American People”. They call themselves names like, “Citizens for this blah, blah” and “American institute for that blah, blah, blah”. Their latest tactic comes straight from the Republican playbook. Define an issue and punctuate it with that dreaded 3 letter word “tax”. Here is a video from the manufacturers of soda and high sugar content, “juice” drinks that attempts to scare us about the governments over reach in to our lives and of course punctuates the whole thing with the word, tax.

The organization that sponsors this spot is called, Americans Against Food Taxes or the AAFT. They are a front group of the American Beverage Association, makers of Pepsi, Coke and the usual suspects responsible for making this country obese by pushing their product at every turn, on every occasion and under any circumstance. There is nothing wrong with an occasional soda but, the target audience for their attack are low income and largely minority audiences. This audience coincidentally are the ones with the highest rates of obesity, diabetes and other ailments with a direct correlation to the amount of soda and sugary drinks they and their families consume.



Notice the spokeswoman appears to be a Latina. I am stunned that there wasn’t a heavy set black woman there but I guess that is so, 20th century. The well-written argument she puts forth is pretty compelling by intent. However,if someone really must have a soda, they will buy it over water under any scenario tax or no tax. The fact is that if these items are more expensive then one would lower their consumption of these items. The ABA can’t have that!! It effects the bottom line.

It is not difficult to see through these propaganda campaigns to keep the hard working populace asleep and under thumb if you know who is doing the talking. I submit to you that all one needs to do is be aware when watching TV. When you see a commercial that supposedly speaks for “your best interest”, question it. Like the Americans Against Food Taxes for, example just appeared out of no where, got tens of thousands of members to contribute to put out this commercial to defend the beverage industry from a proposed tax increase on their product.

You have the formula laid out for you. Arm yourselves with wide open eyes and your inquisitive mind. Ask yourself, “Who stands to benefit from this message?” Is the word tax included in the message? Are the words, “American for”, Americans against”, or citizens or anything patriotic sounding in the name of the organizations who have sponsored the commercial? Then odds are, they are a front group for a corporation or group of corporations who do not care about you!

Bitch McConnell said that the Republican top priority was to make sure that Barack Obama was a one term president.

Not deficit reduction, not job creation, not rebuilding our country, not to see our country come out of a desperate economic time. Republicans, at all costs, make sure that this president fails at everything he attempts to fix our wounded republic. They filibuster every vote and those that they don’t filibuster they require a super majority for anything to get passed. They amend with language that obscures the original intent of the legislation. When they say Obama has been a failure, it is partly true because they have done all they can to ensure it.

Here is the strategy that Obama is playing directly into. He has compromised on every major piece of legislation he has proposed resulting in watered down reforms that come no where near the original goals. He has agreed to tax cuts for the wealthy that he knows are detrimental to the economy. With every cut in government spending, another few hundred to thousands of people join the already enormous ranks of the unemployed – not to mention the cost to services we once had that once were funded. Guess what that does? It makes the unemployment percentage higher. Who are the new unemployed? Teachers, Firemen, Police, Emergency first responders, Sanitation, Government agency workers – you know the ones who used to answer your call when you were in trouble or needed answers?

This is why the Deficit is the only word Republicans know right now – why it is their main talking point. They know that if unemployment is high, odds are against an incumbent president. With the pathetic field they have in place, they will use every dirty trick in the book to get another figurehead they can manipulate into office.  This may sound like I am beating up on Obama and partly, yes I am. But when he got elected, the slogan was not YES I CAN but YES WE CAN. There was no way he was going to get anything accomplished if the opposition was not willing to work with him on ANYTHING. WE, my friends, killed the hope and change we voted for by allowing the lunatic fringe to have louder voices than ours. There are more of us than them.

Let us be clear, when our president wins, the country wins but he can not do it by himself. We must make sure that the Republican minority is so minor that they will not be able to obstruct as they have for Obama’s first 2 years. We can not afford to get angry at Democrats so much so that we allow  Republicans to get elected. Remember the carnage of the 2010 election cycle. We got rid of those pesky Blue Dogs by not turning out to vote. Unfortunately, that strategy also allowed Republicans to win. How is that working out for us now? States with Republican governors and legislatures are now seeking to make it even more difficult for traditional Democrat base voters to register and vote. We are at war for the America we really want to live in. One with a robust middle class.

Tax cuts for the wealthy. After all they are for the “job creators” aren’t they. They have had these tax cuts for 2 terms of  a Bush presidency. Mr Boehner, Where are the jobs? Explain to us all how a 3% rise in the top tax rate will suddenly impoverish the wealthy or cause a businessman not to hire any new employees. 3%, are you shitting me? The full faith and credit of the United States is being held hostage by a Republican party that refuses to raise the top tax bracket by 3%. This is what it is about. Seriously?!!!

This is what that missing 3% in revenue is costing us. Infrastructure that is the laughing stock of the industrialized world we once led. It is giving an excuse to Republican governors to bust unions, de-fund essential services for women like Planned Parenthood where many lower income women receive their primary care. That’s right they do much more than just abort fetuses. The governors can now cut public education that was once the envy of the world to point of school closings and massive teacher layoffs. But, Republican’s are all about the children, right? It is a fact that more jobs were created while that tax rate was in place for the top bracket.

• Number of jobs as of January, 1993, a week before Clinton took office: 109.725 million.
• Number of jobs as of Jan. 2001, a week before Clinton left office: 132.469 million
• Net Gain under Clinton: 22.7 million jobs.

Now for Bush, who succeeded Clinton in the White House. As already noted, the nation had 132.469 million jobs as he was taking office.

• Number of jobs on Jan. 12, 2009, a week before Bush left office: 133.549 million.

• Net gain under Bush: 1.08 million jobs.
